As you prepare for back-to-school and the return to the busy morning routine, XL 96.9 is ready to make mornings more fun and interesting.
Starting Monday, August 24, a new morning team will debut on XL 96.9, one that is going to quickly become a top-rated morning show.
Long-time Moncton radio personality Scotty Horsman is returning to morning radio, and joining him on XL 96.9 mornings will be popular Moncton morning host Tony Smith. Accordingly, the new show will be called “XL Mornings with Scotty Horsman and Tony Smith”.
Scotty Horsman has been a fixture on the radio in Moncton for over a decade. He hosted the morning show at K-94.5 for many years before taking the leap to join rock station C103 last year to host the afternoon show.
Listeners love Scotty’s show, and ratings are huge, but over and over they have asked to hear him in mornings. Now they’ll get their wish!
Tony Smith is another long-time Moncton morning host, arriving in 2004 to host the morning show at Magic 104. When that station went off the air a few weeks ago, we were able to convince Tony to make the leap to XL 96.9. Prior to coming to Moncton, this Maritime boy had spent time on the air in Halifax, Truro, and the Annapolis Valley.
Both Scotty and Tony love today’s country music and know the music well.
XL Mornings With Scotty Horsman and Tony Smith will be heard weekday mornings from 5:30am to 10am on XL 96.9 FM. |
