Q104 Halifax and its sister station, 96.5 KOOL-FM, took to the air on February 1st with an appeal to ‘Q Nation’ to dig deep for the people of Haiti.  Between 6am and 6pm, both stations aired individual 12 hour radiothons and raised a grand total of $81,656!!  The money will go to Haitian relief via the Canadian Red Cross and Doctors Without Borders.

Pictured:  the Q Crew includes longtime personalities, JC Douglas and Tom Bedell, and from KOOL-FM, Halifax legend Brian Phillips, as well as Newcap Halifax GM, Ted Hyland.  Thanks as well to Halifax Downtown Councillor, Dawn Sloane (behind the white board), the many volunteers from the Red Cross, Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency, and broadcasting students from Nova Scotia Community College.
