Steve Murphy Trumps Maritime Television Ratings Again! |

Halifax, NS (January 6, 2010) – When Maritimers turn on their televisions for their 6 p.m. newscast, they are turning on Steve Murphy and CTV NEWS AT SIX. An overwhelming majority of Maritimers - over 77% of local news viewers - are choosing CTV over CBC and Global, up two percent from last Fall*. The CTV NEWS AT SIX is also the most-watched television program in the region with over 295,000 viewers nightly, almost four times the audience of its nearest competitor CBC**.
LIVE AT 5 also continues its dominance of the 5:00 time slot with over 76% of the local news-viewing audience during that time and is second to CTV NEWS AT SIX as the most-watched program in the region.*

CTV Atlantic also swept the top 10 programs in the region, which are in order: CTV NEWS AT 6, LIVE AT 5, GREY’S ANATOMY, CTV News (Weekend), CSI MIAMI, AMAZING RACE 15, CSI, CSI NEW YORK, MENTALIST AND DANCING WITH THE STARS (MONDAY)*.
